Provide flexible authentication and authorization services in the cloud.Ablity for IT Admin to outsource identity integration headaches.

Capability to authenticate via cloud Identity or on-premise identity using federation and single sign on. Supports WS-Trust,WS-Fed,Home Real, Discovery and ADFS 2.0.

Ability to support portocols like Oauth, SAML etc through Azure Access Control Server (ACS).

Facilitate cross-platform authenitication using Windows Identity Foundation (WIF) so device can access resources via Windows Live ID, Facebook, Google, Yahoo etc....
Ability to securely expose application end points in the cloud for consumplion by could or mobile applications leveraging Azure Connect or Azure App Fabric Service bus

Is build using Windows Communications Foundation (WCF) to deliver cross platform SOAP & REST Web Services and cross platform wire portocals like XML, JSON and Odata.
